Just had a week at this resort on all inclusive,amazed at quality and quantity of food. Staff were lovely,apartment was basic but clean and as we were AI we did not need any of the items in the kitchen but everything seemed to be available.Hairdryers,irons etc can be supplied by reception,you do have to leave a deposit for these items.The entertainment was way above average and they whole week away was great.I am surprised at negative comments as this was a really nice place to stay,staff were all lovely,place was lovely and food and drink were great,hardly an hour of the day when you could not get food! What more do you want?? Fantastic value holiday. [Hide]

me and my boyfriend recently came back from paphos & are desperate to go back! such an amazing experience. it wouldnt have been any where near as memorable though if we hadnt stayed at the Akteon Holiday Villiage. The staff were so friendly, always prepared to put your needs first, lots of activities to do day and night, and the rep team (alex, alice and jenna) were so funny! they made the holiday for us! the food at the hotel has lots of options, meat, fish and vegetables, desserts are delicious too! the only down side to the holiday was not recieving that much information about what can be given on all inclusive. we found out 2 days before leaving that with the all inclusive band you can have free drinks in 2 other hotels next to the akteon holidat villiage also in between lunch and dinner, me and my boyfriend would tend to feel hungry and need an afternoon snack so we bought snacks from the mini market not knowing that you were able to order food inbetween lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant free of charge. drink options on all inclusive are really good, there are alot you can choose from, i would recommend the cuba libra! mmm! before going on this holiday i was so terrified about being in another country on my own but once i had looked around i was just fine. when me and my boyfriend got to our room we found out there was no plug in the bath and we were quite reluctant to talk to the staff about it but once we did they were quick to solve the problem and made sure from then on that things were ok. also whilst we wer eon our transfer to the holidat villiage we were quite far out from the towns and restaurants etc, but the rep told us about the buses which are so easy to use. if you walk out of the hotel to the main road (you will understand once you are there) just look for a bus stop (usually a bench) and the 615 bus takes you up to coral bay or down to the harbour. 2 euros for a day pass and it can be used on most buses. (615 buses come every 10-15 minutes) we definatley would go back tomorrow and we've only been back in england 4 days! [Hide]

Have just returned from a wonderful two week holiday . The Akteon was an ideal base to explore West Cyprus, a hire care is somewhat of a necessity though. We stayed in a studio apartment which was clean, comfortable and spacious, and we were lucky to get one with a sea view, In fact my favourite thing was sitting on our balcony watching the sunset every day, simple but magical. The staff we found efficient and courteous, especially when I needed to find a local dentist for emergency treatment, which incidentally was excellent and cheap! All in all no complaints, it served it's purpose more than adequately.

My husband and I travelled to the Akteaon Vilage on 27th August for our 2 week honeymoon. We had a good time, but was told that it would be good for young couples and honeymooners. This was not the case, on the first week the hotel was full of families, which was fine as they brought some entertainment to the hotel. The hotel itself was lovely with nice decor and very clean. The location was a bit out of the way but easy enough to get to local attarctions via bus, taxi but this can be expensive.

Having read some previous reviews on the trip advisor website we'd heard about guests staying on all inclusive basis were treated differently, we discovered this a few days into out stay, when the restuarant staff would wait on paying guests first, and leaving us to order drinks when we had finished dessert! When we went to the pool bar and the restaurant we could see them looking for our wrist band as we approached the bars, the staff were unfriendly and sometimes arrogant.

The food in the restaurant was very repetative on the first week which i think in our exoerience of all inclusive this is the way it is, but at the end of the first week, we were having lunch and i bit into some pasta which was very hard - not the pasta but a big piece of sharpe galss! I informed the waiter and the manager came to investigate, nothing much was offered although he did apologise, but our concern was that a child could have swallowed that.

The evening entertainment was fun for children and families, but again a bit repetative.

Overall although we were unhappy with the some of the service we had a good holiday and the sun shone all day everyday and we really relaxed. I would not give it 5 stars as some brochures suggest but maybe 3 stars.
